The course “8D BIM: Ensuring health and safety on construction sites through 3D modelling and risk assessment”, organized by the European digital innovation hub (EDIH), will begin on May 8 in our training room and will continue until May 9 – a total of 2 days or 12 academic hours. The training will be conducted in a hybrid format – both in person and online. Its primary goal is to prevent accidents and incidents on construction sites by integrating safety elements into the building design from the early planning phase.
8D BIM enables designers to carry out in-depth risk assessments of every design component of a building or facility. In this way, potential hazards can be identified and mitigated before construction begins, contributing to a safer work environment for construction workers.
This specialized course is intended for professionals involved in construction investment design, project management, consulting and supervision, or public administration.
Trainings related to the use of BIM (Building Information Modelling) represent the largest group – a total of 20 courses – in the EDIH’s services catalogue. In practice, BIM covers the entire lifecycle of a building – from design and construction management to operation, potential demolition, and waste utilization. In this sense, building information modelling is a key element not only for the digitalization of the construction sector but also for the development of the circular economy in Bulgaria.
The specialized BIM courses provide knowledge and skills for working with specific software used in the management of the entire construction investment process.
The course “8D BIM: Ensuring health and safety on construction sites through 3D modelling and risk assessment” consists of 3 training modules, scheduled over May 8 and 9.
