Lubomir Peinovski is the new chairman of the Association “EDIH in the construction sector”

The General Assembly of the “European Digital Innovation Hub in the Construction Sector” (EDIH) Association has unanimously decided to appoint Lyubomir Peynovski as the new chairman of the Association. He will be taking over the leadership position from Valentin Nikolov, who has been the chairman of the EDIH Board of Directors since its establishment.

Peynovski’s candidacy was nominated by the chairman of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC), Eng. Iliyan Terziev. Lyubomir Peynovski is the initiator of the creation of the EDIH and is the driving force that led to the realization of the application and the approval of the EDIH project in the construction sector under the “Digital Europe” program of the European Commission, stated Eng. Terziev. He thanked Mr. Peynovski and his team for what had been achieved so far and he emphasized that he is counting on the new chairman of the EDIH Board to implement the planned activities and achieve the goals of the organization – increasing the competitiveness of the construction industry, education and qualification of those working in the sector, using digitalization and innovations to lead to more efficient construction processes, circular economy and resource efficiency, networking and strengthening of strategic partnerships.

Lyubomir Peynovski is thankful for the trust that is put in him. “We already have good communication with relevant institutions and other digital hubs in Bulgaria, and one of our leading tasks will be to expand cooperation with our partner network in Europe,” he pointed out. It became clear from his speech that the members of the EDIH will also start the discussion of new opportunities for development.
