Terms of participation in the courses of "EDIH in construction sector"
“EDIH in the construction sector” unites the efforts, expertise, and capacity of professional organizations – the Bulgarian construction chamber and the Chamber of architects in Bulgaria, along with universities and research institutions in the field of construction – the University of architecture, civil engineering and geodesy (UACEG), VSU “Lyuben Karavelov”, and the Institute of mechanics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). It also includes leading private-sector organizations and companies specializing in construction, project management, technologies, and innovations such as Cleantech Bulgaria Ltd., Geostroy JSC, Planex Ltd., the Bulgarian association for construction project management (BACPM), Baumit Ltd., and Esri Bulgaria Ltd.
These organizations, with complementary expertise, aim to support the digital transformation of the construction sector by offering specialized trainings and services for:
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
- Small mid-cap companies
- Public sector organizations for their non-economic activities
“EDIH in Construction Sector” provides services and training within a project funded simultaneously and proportionally by two sources:
- The Programme for scientific research, innovation, and digitalization for intelligent transformation 2021–2027 (PNIIDIT)
- The Digital Europe Programme (DEP)
The fees for specialized training and services offered by “EDIH in construction sector” are determined according to an approved price list.
However, these services and trainings are not paid for directly by the participants but are provided under a state aid procedure for SMEs, small mid-cap companies, and public organizations, based on the EDIHCS’s pricing framework.
State aid schemes:
- SMEs receive non-repayable financial aid under the “state aid” regime, in accordance with Chapters I & II and Article 28 “Aid for innovation activities of SMEs” of Commission regulation (EU) No 651/2014.
- Small mid-cap companies and public enterprises receive non-repayable financial aid under the “de minimis” aid regime, in accordance with Commission regulation (EU) No 1407/2013.
- Public sector organizations (for their non-economic activities) receive services and training under the “non-aid” regime.
Initial interest questionnaire for using the services provided by the “EDIH in construction sector” association
A Request-agreement form must be filled out by the enterprise/public organization when applying to receive a service or training from EDIHCS.
- Trainings and services are provided under the “state aid” regime.
- The trainings and services listed in the “EDIH in construction sector” catalogue are offered through thematically structured programs. These can be requested either individually by topic or combined into customized packages of selected services and trainings based on the applicant’s specific needs.
- Travel expenses (per diems, transportation, accommodation) of the participants are covered by the respective enterprise/public organization.
The following GENERAL TERMS apply to all training courses organized and conducted by “EDIH in construction sector”:
Timely notification in case of inability to participate
In the event a participant/expert cannot attend a scheduled training as part of an approved and coordinated training plan with “EDIH in construction sector,” the applicants must submit a written notice no later than 7 working days before the start of the specific training course to the following email: office@edih-construction.bg
Applicants have the following options, provided the above deadline is met:
- To reschedule their representatives for participation in a different group/date for the same training. Rescheduling is subject to availability and capacity;
- To substitute another representative for the same training course, clearly indicating the name of the new participant in the email or letter;
Change in training format
In case of circumstances that prevent the delivery of the training in in-person or hybrid format, the planned courses will be conducted entirely online. Applicants will be promptly informed by “EDIH in Construction Sector” of any such changes.
Personal data protection
“EDIH in Construction Sector” processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy policy, which is published on the association’s official website.
Accessible and safe environment
When applying for in-person or hybrid training, applicants must inform “EDIH in construction sector” in writing if any of their participants have mobility or technical difficulties. This ensures the training is planned and delivered in an accessible environment. The information should be sent to office@edih-construction.bg, stating the names of the participant(s) and the course(s) for which the application was submitted.
Certificates / Attestations
Representatives who successfully complete a training course organized by “EDIH in Construction Sector” will receive a CERTIFICATE/ATTESTATION of participation/completion. The certificate is issued after successfully passing an exam/test and is delivered within 20 working days after the end of the course.
